No Point In Saying

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA, Nov. 3. In one of Australia’s biggest peace-time security operations, millions of dollars in decimal coins were moved to strategic stockpiles around the nation in the first two days of this week. The money went in unmarked semi-trailers and by rail, unnoticed by the public. Treasury officials revealed today. They said it was the biggest single trans-shipment of money in the country’s history. “Only a few people knew what was going on,” officials said. “Our security was as good as humanly possible. “It would have taken a ‘super James Bond’ to break it, and then any hijackers would have had a fight to remember.” Scores of armed guards accompanied the shipments to specially-prepared storehouses

in capital cities and major country areas. The money will be kept there under strict guard.

It will be distributed to sub-treasuries and banks just before February 14. 1966.
