CHILEAN REEFER IN PORT.—The Lauritzen Line’s refrigerated motor vessel Chilean Reefer berthed at Gladstone Pier yesterday. The Chilean Reefer was rammed by a Canadian bulk carrier in dense fog near Flushing, last April, and was salvaged after being beached. She is discharging 28,000 cartons of bananas from Guayaquil, Ecuador, after arriving direct yesterday morning. She is considered by many, to be one of the most attractive vessels to visit Lyttelton.
