Serena Impresses In Awapuni Trial

‘‘The Press" Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. Serena, a last-start winner at Masterton, was the most impressive worker at Awapuni yesterday. She ran the best half-mile of the morning on the course proper. Serena is engaged at the Rangitikei Racing Club’s meeting at Bulls on Saturday. Another Rangitikei candidate to excel was Te Pari Star. She ran a fast five furlongs on the inside trial. The New Zealand Cup candidate, Alaska, was also in fine form when he beat Janeen over a mile.
