Boswell Is Captain
(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON.
The Auckland oarsman, D. Boswell, has been named as captain of the New Zealand rowing team to tour Australia later this week. Boswell’s appointment as captain was announced today by the New Zealand Rowing Council chairman (Mr L. E. Brooker). He said that Boswell was probably the most experienced member of the team which starts its Australian tour on Friday. Boswell rowed as number seven in the eight at the 1962 Perth Commonwealth Games and was the three in the 1964 Olympic four. Boswell, who was a member of the New Zealand crew to win the Prince Phillip Cup at Henley, learnt to row at the A tickland Grammar School. He has won three national fours championships.
