Conference In Paris

(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) CANBERRA, Oct. 26. Australian scientists will attend a conference in Paris soon on safety measures for the French H-bomb tests in the Pacific next year. The Australians will represent the National Radiation Advisory Committee. The committee, of authorities in a variety of fields, studies possible consequences to the Australian population from nuclear radioactive fallout. Professor E. W. Titterton, professor of nuclear physics at the Australian National University, will be one of two Australians to go to Paris. The French Government promised the talks in 1963 when it announced plans for the nuclear tests.

Moscow Visit.—The Bulgarian Communist Party leader and Prime Minister (Mr Todor Zhivkov) arrived in Moscow yesterday on a surprise visit for talks with Kremlin leaders.—(Moscow, October 26.)
