I, Maior-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Admin istrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land de scribed in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of Part II of the Housing Improvement Act, 1945, and shall vest In the Mayor, Councillors and Citizens of the City of Christchurch as from the date hereinafter mentioned: and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 6th day of September. 1965.
