RAISED £1560

Townswomen’s Guilds throughout New Zealand have raised £1560 for the Foundation for Medical Research since making medic;, research its project at the 1963 biennial council meeting. This amount will be divided between five funds and the University of Otago Medical School. The Dominion president (Mrs P. D. Calver) said in her address at the opening of the 1965 council meeting yesterday that she would present £260 to Dr. L. C. L. Averill for th Canterbury Medical Research Foundation, while the Townswomen’s conference was being held in Christchurch.
