As part of a planned registrartraining scheme, the junior surgical posts will rotate as far as possible through the various specialties on a six-monthly roster basis, thus enabling successful applicants to obtain a first-class training. VACANCIES: The following vacancies are to be filled: JUNIOR SURGICAL REGISTRARS (Christchurch and The Princess Margaret Hospitals). PLASTIC SURGICAL REGISTRAR (Burwood Hospital). UROLOGY REGISTRAR. E.N.T. REGISTRAR. ORTHOPAEDIC REGISTRAR. PATHOLOGY REGISTRARS (for further particulars apply to the Director of Pathology). SALARY SCALE in accordance with the Hospital Employment Regulations will be: FOR JUNIOR REGISTRARS—£I63S- - p.a. FOR SENIOR REGISTRARS—£IBSO- - p.a. Limited single and married accommodation is available. Applicants should clearly indicate in their applications whether they wish to live in or out. All appointments will be for one year in the first instance, i.e., from January 1, 1966, with the possibility of extension for a second year. In all cases, applicants must be prepared to remain for one full year. REGULAR TUTORIAL COURSES in the basic sciences and in clinical subjects will be held throughout the year for those wishing to study for higher degrees and diplomas. A Medical Centre and basic sciences room have been provided for this purpose.
