Near All Black Side Invited

WELLINGTON, Sept. 13.

A near-All Black team will be invited to play in one of the feature events at the Masterton Golden Games in October. The organiser, the Masterton Public Relations Officer, Mr L. J. Bergman, said today that several changes could be made in the list of invited players.

The invitation side, captained by B. J. Lochore, and to play a New Zealand Marist XV, is: W. F. McCormick (Canterbury); R. W. Caulton (Welling ton), I. S. T. Smith (North Otago), R. E. Rangi (Auckland): W. L. Davis (Hawke’s Bay), R H. Brown (Taranaki); K. C. Briscoe (Taranaki); B. J. Lochore (Wairarapa); K. R. Tremain (Hawke’s Bay), D. J. Graham (Canterbury): C. E. and S. T. Meads (King Country), K. F. Gray (Wellington), W. J. Whineray (Auckland), J. Major (Taranaki).
