WELLINGTON, Sept. 13

The United States Navy Super Constellation transport plane Phoenix 6 travelled from Wellington to Christchurch today, arriving at 6.1 p.m.

The plane was on its way to Christchurch with United States Antarctic Expedition men when it was forced down by engine trouble at Rongotai on Saturday morning. A replacement engine was flown from Christchurch by a United States Air Force Hercules transport plane on Saturday afternoon.
