LOTTERY PROFITS

£1,428,084 Not Allocated (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 15. The Lottery Profits Board of Control granted a total of £900.361 in the year ended March 31. For the welfare for the aged £86,796 was allocated, welfare services £197,139, youth activities £275,263, medical research £112,248 and scientific research £99,846. The Department of Internal Affairs was granted £29,069 to grant to causes and Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council got £lOO,OOO. A total of £1,428,084 of profits yet to be allocated remained in the National Provident Fund, compared with £1,276.700 at the beginning of the year.
