(Special Crspdt. N.Z P.A.) LONDON, July 15. Bryan Ashbridge, the Auckland dancer who has partnered most of Britain’s ballerinas, has made his last appearance at Covent Garden. He appeared with Nadia Nerina in “Sylvia.” Ashbridge, now 36, joined the Royal Ballet Company in March, 1948, and quickly made an international reputation. He has danced lead roles opposite Margo Fonteyn, Alicia Markova, Rowena Jackson, Svetlana Beriosova. Moira Shearer and Violetta Elvin. His final appearance in ballet will be during an arts festival in Harlow Newtown, Essex, in two weeks, when he will dance with Beryl Grey. On August 12, Ashbridge will begin a course at the 8.8.C.’s television training centre.
