CHEQUE FOR SOCIETY.—A cheque for £225, the proceeds of the “Miss Canterbury” contest organised by the Christchurch Junior Chamber, was presented to the Multiple Sclerosis Society yesterday. The money will be used to buy chairs for the society’s new hall. This photograph shows Mr R. S. Williams, president of the society, receiving the cheque from Mr P.
