SHORTAGE OF EGGS
Cold Weather The Cause
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 13. Auckland's egg shortage has been worsened by the current spell of cold weather, which has caused a decline in oroduction in the face of a high retail demand. Retailers have had quotas cut a further 10 per cent to 20 ner cent of the eggs they handled last May. No improvement can be expected until the end of August, says the Egg Marketing Authority.
