PUBLIC NOTICES CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL BY-LAW NO. 47 Reserve Contributions— Subdivisions PUBLIC Notice is hereby given that the Christchurch City Council at a Special Meeting held in the City Council Chamber. 194 Manchester street. Christchurch, at 8.30 p.m. on Monday, the 21st day of June. 1965, resolved to make a By-law the Short Title of which will be "The Christchurch City By-law No. 47." The object and purport of the proposed By-law Is to repeal the existing By-law No. 42 and to amend the existing method ot assessing Reserve Contributions payable to the Council by the owners of land being subdivided. The proposals include the following provisions: Residential Land: No less than four perches to be set aside for each allotment in excess of the existing saleable residential allotments prior to subdivision, or not less than three perches where frontage is on a new street being constructed by the owner; or cash in lieu thereof equivalent to the unimproved value of the area which would otherwise have been set aside. Commercial or Industrial: A cash payment of 5 per cent of the unimproved value up to £16.000 and 21 per cent of unimproved value In excess thereof in subdivisions of land for commercial or Industrial purposes, assessed on the lowest valued allotments in excess of the existing saleable industrial or commercial allotments prior to subdivision. In any subsequent subdivision no allowance shall be made for or in respect of any contribution previously made in respect of such land. Corner lots to be rounded off to a radius ot not less than eighteen feet in rural or residential zones and rounded off to a radius of eighteen feet or cut back twelve feet along each street line in commercial or industrial zones. Fees payable with applications and other relevant matters connected with subdivisions are also included. It Is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Christchurch City Council to be held In the City Council Chamber, situate as aforesaid, at 8 p.m on Monday, the 19th day of July, 1965, for confirmation by way of Special Order and that a copy of the said proposed By-law Is deposited In the office of the Christchurch City Council. 194 Manchester street, Christchurch, and is open for inspection without fee by the public during office hours which are from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
