PRESIDENT OF FARMERS
Mr R.H. Bedford Elected Mr R. H. Bedford (Darfield) was elected president of North Canterbury Federated Farmers at the provincial district’s annual conference. He succeeds Mr R. E. Hiatt (Amuri), who held the position for the previous 12 months and is at present overseas. Mr Bedford has been acting chairman in Mr Hiatt’s absence. Mr W. N. Dunlop, provincial meat and wool chairman, was elected senior vice-presi-dent, and the provincial chairman of the agriculture section (Mr J. F. N. Twose) was elected junior vice-president.
