Planes Over Church

(N.Z. Press Association) WHANGAREI, May 30. As a bridgegroom left the Anglican Christ Church in Whangarei at 1 p.m. on Saturday, he was saluted by a formation of Fletcher topdressing aircraft, piloted by fellow topdressing pilots. The bridegroom is John Corbett, and the bride Miss Carroll Griffin, daughter of the Northland Rugby selector, Mr E. Griffin. The couple were married by the Rev. G. A. Butt. The pilots were Mr R. Shorthouse, who led the flight, and Messrs C. Clarkin, R. Hoara, P. Moore, and A. Thomas.
