Milk Deliveries

Sir, —I can sympathise with the dilemma of “Brush,” but here is a suggestion which may relieve it. Christchurch milk, as she rightly says, is Of very poor quality (in Devon, where I lived, Friesian cows were known as “waiter carts”), but New Zealand full-cream dried milk is simply admirable, and serves every purpose, as I had good reason to know when, in England, we were subjected to milk rationing. I claim to be something of a judge, as I was brought up in Jersey, which provides the richest milk in the world. If your correspondent, and others who suffer from the same problem as she does, would give this alternative a trial they might be tempted to discard fresh supplies until services and quality alike improve.—Yours; etc., I.S.T. May 28. 1965.
