Exports Increase
New Zealand’s petroleum products exports have increased greatly since the Whangarei refinery opened, according to figures released in the latest issue of the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation Statistics Bulletin. The bulletin says that New Zealand exported £746,300 worth of petroleum in eight months to the end of February this year. This compared with £BOO worth of petroleum products exported by New Zealand over 12 months in 1963-64. Other big increases in exports, according to the bulletin, were in N.Z. canned fish and soups and broths.
