Stowed Away Twice
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 3.
A young Australian photographer successfully stowed away on a ship from Sydney to Suva, but found he could not find work there, so stowed away on another ship to New Zealand, Detective Sen-ior-Sergeant B. T. N. Hutton said today. Ga-y James Wilson, aged 18, admitted stowing away in the Tofua to New Zealand. Mr H. J. Wily, S.M., convicted him and remanded him in custody fur a week so that arrangements could be made for him to be returned to Australia.
Wilson’s father had agreed to pay his son’s fare home, Mr Hutton said.
