PHILLIPSTOWN SCHOOL
‘Visit Your Old School’ Theme Former pupils, teachers and friends of the Phillipstown school will have a chance to meet again on the evening of June 1 and see the changes and improvements made at their old school. They will be the guests of the school’s parent-teacher association, which has decided to give their June meeting a “visit your old school” theme. “It will be a very informal get together,” a member of the association said. She hopes that any person who has old photographs connected with the school will bring those along too. Items will be given by past-pupils. The earliest rolls of the school so far found dated from 1877, the association member said. The June gathering would be valuable in tracing past-pupils for the school’s centenary, she said.
