Pedestrians Hit By Car
Two pedestrians were hit by a car on the LincolnSpringston road near the entrance to Lincoln College on Tuesday evening. Mr L. N. Templeton, a cook, and Mr D. Monroe, a labourer, both employed at the college, suffered head injuries. Mr Monroe also suffered a fractured left leg. The accident happened about 6.30 p.m. They were taken to Christchurch Hospital by a St. John ambulance and were later admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital. Their condition was reported to be fairly satisfactory.
