WELLINGTON, Feb. 26.

The Government is expected to approve the establishment of the proposed New Zealand steel industry very soon.

The Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) said in an interview today that the question would again be considered by the Cabinet on Monday. The proposal has been before the Cabinet on several occasions.

Mr Marshall this afternoon met the chairman of the provisional board of the New Zealand Steel Company (Sir Woolf Fisher) and other board members.
