Ladies’ and Gent’s Ph 73 ?|7 Estah 45 years D PUBLIC NOTICES WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL WATER SUPPLY REDEMPTION LOAN. 1965 It Is Hereby Publicly Notified that the Waimairi County Council at a meeting held in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, on Thursday, January 28, 1965, passed the following resolution:— “That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Counties Act, 1956, the Local Authorities Loan Act, 1956, and all amendments thereto and all other acts (if any) enabling it in that behalf and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Auth orities Loans Board granted on January 21, 1965, the council proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan of £72,100 for the purpose of repaying amounts outstanding on the Water Supply Loan, 1954, subject to the following determinations: “(1) That the loan be known as the Water Supply Redemption Loan, 1965. (Hereinafter referred to as the ‘said loan’). ‘/(2) That the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed 25 years. “(3) That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding 5J (£5 ss) per cent per annum. “(4) That the said loan shall be repaid by way of equal aggregate half-yearly instalments of interest and principal. “(5) That the payment of Interest and the repayment of principal in respect of ' the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or principal shall be paid out of loan monies. “(6) That the rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent of any amount raised. “(7) That the council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a special rate of ,033314 d (pence) in the £ (pound) on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value )of all rateable properties within the Avonhead, Belfast, Fendalton, Harewood, Papanui, Middleton and Wairarapa ridings of the Waimairi county. “(8) That the form of security for the repayment of principal and payment of interest on the said loan shall be by means of a single debenture.” K.
