Annat Property Brings £5000
Offered on account of the estate of Mary Jane Searle, 49 acres 2 roods 24 perches of grazing and cropping land at Annat was sold for £5OOO at public auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr F Carpenter. Buildings on the property include an old six-roomed house, dairy, and a shed. The opening bid was £3250. There were four bids of £250, two of £lOO, and one of £sso' A semi-two-storey bungalow at 51 Harakeke street, Riccarton, was passed in at £5400. The auctioneer was Mr G. H. Kissell. The house has three bedrooms, lounge, living room, sunroom, and kitchen. There is also a garage and workshop on the section of 40 perches.
