REFUSAL OF POST
South Vietnam’s Air Force commander said today he would not join the Government's reshuffled Cabinet until further changes made it “more revolutionary.”
General Ky said he would not give up his military post, but he was prepared to assume additional cabinet duties on condition certain “antirevolutionary” ministers still in the Cabinet were removed.
Interviewed, General Ky declined to confirm explicitly reports that his planes had been conducting air strikes into North Vietnam. He said air strikes would not win the war but they would slow down Communist aggression.
