39.36 d Per Lb At Auckland (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 4. More than 18 per cent of the 26,822 bales offered were passed in at the fourth Auckland wool sale of the 1964-65 season on December 16. A total of 21,957 bales was sold, 4865 bales being passed in. The latest average price per lb, at 39.36 d, provides an interesting comparison with previous years.

The average price per lb was 52.81 d in 1963, 40.9 d in 1962, 39.39 d in 1961, and 39.83 d in 1960.

The average weight of each bale last month was 340.61 b, and the average price was £55 17s 3d a bale. Comparative figures in 1963 were 338.771 b and £74 10s 9d.

Gross proceeds of the December sale were £1,226.567, while a total of 7,478.6331 b of wool was sold?
