Balance Of Payments

(N.Z.P.A.- Reuter—Copyright)

DJAKARTA, Dec. 20.

Malaysia had launched “economic terror” against Indonesia by trying to spread foreign currencies throughout the Republic, said Dr. Boegie Supena, the Indonesian Police Commissioner.

The Antara news agency quoted him as saying the economic terror was carried out by Malaysia to upset

Indonesia’s economy and finances.

He said the foreign currencies included the American dollar, the £ sterling, the Malaysian and Hong Kong dollar and the Japanese yen. He urged the Indonesian people to launch a retaliatory economic blow against Malaysia but did not give details of any such action.
