Literary Circle Meets

The annual meeting of the; literary circle of the Canter- 1 bury Women’s Club was held] in the club lounge recently. ] Mrs Duncan Stewart welcomed members and thanked] all those who had assisted her during the year. Presentations were made to Mrs Duncan Stewart and to Mrs McKinney by Mrs R. Rimmer. Mrs Stewart also made a presentation to Miss A. Fraser who has retired from her position as librarian. Crs L. Bielby gave elocution items and trios were sung by Mesdames Peggy Fleming, Nola Hamilton and Anita Ledsham, accompanied by Mrs J. H. Cocks.
