A blind woman told police' she shot her husband to death, —aiming in the direction ofj his voice—after a “terrible] quarrel,” the Associated Press reported. Mrs Josephine Davis, aged 71. was charged with slay-i ing her husband. William.] aged 68, on Wednesday night] in their flat. “We had a terrible quarrel.” she told police. “He] said he couldn’t stand the ] tap-tapping of my cane. As I we argued we said a lot of bitter things to each other.] Then he really lost his tem-l per and came for me." Mrs Davis said she backed against a bedroom chest opened a drawer and took out a revolver. She said Davis told her she was “going to a home for the blind.” She said she fired one shot and her husband slumped to the floor. She walked down a hallway and asked a neighbour to call the police.
