Two Brisbane detectives arrived back in Brisbane from New Zealand last evening with a man charged with the Gilbert river murder. Detective - Sergeants J. McSporran and M. G. Chalmers flew from Wellington with Keith Robert Bruce, aged 32, who has been charged with the murder of Jan Zberka at Gilbert river, near Normanton, on or about May 1 this year. Bruce, who walked unhandcuffed from the aircraft with the detectives, was officially extradited from Christchurch on Friday.

He will appear in the Brisbane Police Court tomorrow.
