WOOL SALES IN LONDON
Small Decline In Values fN.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 5. The London November wool Bales opened today with good general competition but reflected the small decline in values which had taken place in the interval after the close of the previous sales on September 11, brokers reported. Compared with the closing rates of the September series, par to 2 J per cent covered the drop in Australian greasy Merino prices. South African greasy Merinos showed a similar fall for medium length wools, but long wools were 21 per cent down. New Zealand second-shear scoured crossbreds were barely changed at par to 2\ per cent lower, but goodlength scoured crossbreds were 5 per cent, halfbreds 2| per cent, and Merinos ,2| to 5 per cent lower. Slipe combing lambs were little changed, but combing sheep eased par to 2j per cent. Clothing sheep, however, were firm. Inferior slipes were irregular. Insufficient greasy crossbreds were offered today to provide a reliable quotation.
