N.Z. Issues Weak On A Steady Market
. 1 rading in New Zealand opened the week yesterday on a quiet but steady note with falls by New Zealand issues countering a firm tone in the overseas section.
In first sales since news on Friday of a £sm debenture issue, tolomal Sugar fell Is to 65s 6d in Christchurch and 6d to the same price in Auckland. After steadily rising for two weeks, National Bank of New Zealand lost Is 3d to 42s 9d.
Canterbury Frozen Meat and Gear Meat, both of which have yet to announce their year’s results, improved further while Mannings recovered 6d. In first ex dividend sales, South British old and B shares each gained 4d to 53s 6d.
