‘THE EASY LIFE '
Castro Against Presley Types (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MIAMI, Oct. 22. The Cuban Premier, Dr. Fidel Castro, said last night still too many “lazy, noaccounts” among Cuba’s youth managed to enjoy “the easy life” in spite of Communist indoctrination, United Press International reported. Speaking before thousands of members of the Union of Young Communists at Santa Clara, Dr. Castro took a verbal slap at the American rock ’n’ roll singer, Elvis Presley. He said Army service, for which Cuban youths are now being drafted, is saving them “from being converted into Elvis Presley types” and teaching them Communist discipline.
