Marshland W.D.F.F.

Mr s D. Marks, the first president of the Marshland branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers, cut the anniversary cake at the branch's 31st birthday celebrations, held at Marshland recently. Several other foundation members were among the guests at the social afternoon. •

The president of the Canterbury provincial executive (Mrs I. Fraser) presented prizes won in competitions during the year, to Mesdames O. Hanwright, A. Stead, F. Lawson, A. Watson and D. Booker. A programme of entertainment was provided by members of the Bryndwr choral group.
