1920 Record Equalled
The 13 matches that the Wellington Rugby team won this year enabled it to equal the record of the 1920 side for the most wins in a season: However, it was not as successful as the Wellington team of 1930 which was unbeaten in its nine matches, including the international against Great Britain and a Ranfurly Shield challenge against Southland. Included in the record was a draw against Hawke’s Bay.
Champion Moves.—C. R. Waugh, the New Zealand squash rackets champion for the last five years, has moved to Auckland where he will work for a sports goods firm. Waugh and his wife, who was recently runner-up for the New Zealand women’s title, had lived in Palmerston North.
