TO LAY COOK STRAIT POWER CABLE.—The m.v. Photinia (7671 tons), which will arrive in Wellington on Saturday to prepare for the laying of the power cable across Cook Strait. Built in 1961, the Photinia is a bulk cargo ship converted for cable-laying work. She is owned by Stag Line, Ltd. (England), and is under charter to British Insulated Callender’s Cables, Ltd.
