NINE RACES AT GORE

(N Z. Press Association) GORE, Sept. 10. For the first time, the Gore Racing Club will conduct a nine-race programme when it holds its spring meeting next month at Labour Weekend. The additional event, however, will be run on the first day only. The usual eight-race programme is retained for Labour Day. Stakes over-all for the meeting have been increased by £2OO. The additional face will be the Gore Two-Year-old Stakes, to be run over five furlongs for a stake of £3OO.

Count One Firms For Epsom

(N Z. Press Association) SYDNEY, September 10. The New Zealand gelding, Count One, which is to arrive in Melbourne by air next week, has moved up to the fifth line in pre-race markets for the one mile Epsom Handicap to be run at Randwick on October 3.
