Tolerance In Beer Jug

(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. “It’s not our problem, it’s the manufacturer’s,” the chief executive of the Hotel Association of New Zealand (Mr J J. Williams) said today when asked what the association proposed to do about the variance- in beer jug sizes found in a recent survey. Mr Williams said the problem was a manufacturing one common to the trade. All glassware had to be made with a certain amount of tolerance. Mr J. K. Dobson, general manager of the manufacturing firm, said it was a question of normal tolerance as the lips of the jugs were handformed. He expected te have discussions with the hotel association.
