Search At Sea Called Off

WHANGAREI, Sept 2. The search for 67-year-old John Allan Smart a widower, of Bland Bay, Whangaruru, has been discontinued. Mr Smart who is retired, has been missing at sea since Sunday when he went fishing in his outboard-motor boat about 3.30 p.m. A boat believed to be his, was sighted sunk in about 40 feet of water about two miles offshore from Bland Bay. Skin-divers searched in this area unsuccessfully.

No Quorum.—A meeting of creditors of Laurence Edward Paulsen, aged 34. was adjourned sine die yesterday by the Official Assignee (Mr P. D. Clancy) because there was no quorum. Paulsen’s statement of affairs showed debts of £495 16s Id owed to 18 unsecured creditors and assets of £lOO.
