BID FOR R.M.C.

Acceptances List Sought (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Sept. 2. Ready Mixed Concrete, Ltd., which has received a takeover bid from C.S.R.-B.M.L, is asking the joint bidders to furnish it with audited lists of acceptances already received. This was disclosed today in a copy of a letter sent to the Sydney Stock Exchange by R.M.C. chairman (Mr J. G. Palmer) to Mr J. W. Dunlop and Mr J. W. Austin, chairmen of C.S.R. and 8.M.1. respectively. C.S.R. and 8.M.1. announced earlier that holders of more than 70 per cent of the issued capital had accepted their offer. Mr Palmer said that the offer will now be current at least until September 14 and possibly longer. “In view of the length of time the offer has remained open (since July 18), we are asking you in fairness to all shareholders to furnish us immediately with audited lists of the acceptances already received by you,” he said.
