Police Forced To Reverse
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, August 31. A motorist whose driving forced a police patrol car to brake and reverse at speed to avoid a collision was gaoled for 14 days by Mr J. D. Willis, S.M., today. He was Thomas James Galvin, aged 45, a bricklayer, who pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of drink or drug. His licence was cancelled for three years.
