Lecturing Post

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 31. Mr Oskar Lennart Waara has been appointed lecturer in Scandinavian studies at Auckland University. The position was authorised by the University Council last April and its establishment has been supported by the Swedish Institute, Stockholm. Three courses will he given—pi eliminary Swedish, Scandinavian studies and North Germanic philology. Mr Waara was born in Tarendo and graduated M.A. at Uppsala University with honours in English and German. Since 1959 he has been teaching English and German at the State secondary school of Borlange.

He will be attached to the staff of the German department
