LOCAL BODY COURSE
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 31. A four-day course for local body employees will be opened at Victoria Universitytomorrow by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Seath). Forty-four will attend the course, sponsored by the Institute of Town Clerks and Municipal Treasurers and the Municipal Association. One of the objects of the institute is to encourage interest in the study of local government problems and to increase the efficiency of municipal services. Topics for discussion include recording essentia) town planning information and the administration of a town planning scheme in all stages.
