CAR IN CREEK

Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 30. j A man was killed i when the car he was driv- | ing failed to take the turn into Main road, Wainuiomata, early today and plunged over a 30-foot bank. He was James John Blundell, of Durham street, Wellington. The car came to rest upside down in Block creek, and Mr Blundell was found with his head under water. Attempts to revive him by resuscitation failed. Two passengers in the car were injured. They were:— Mr John Arthur Irving, also of Durham street, who suffered lacerations to the head, concussion, severe bruising to the left arm. exposure and Mr J. Cooper, of Prince street Oriental Bay. Wellington, who suffered exposure, concussion and severe shock. Both men were taken to Hutt Hospital by free ambulance. Their condition was described as satisfactory.
