Teleprinter Romance

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 30. A romance which began as the result erf modern telecommunications will soon blossom into marriage for Miss Lynley Fairweather, of Dunedin. Miss Fairweather, who left the Women’s Royal New Zealand Naval Service in Auckland last week, is on her way home to be married to Mr Arthur Ellison, radioman firstciass, of the United States Navy. He was with the Antarctic support force in Christchurch last summer. Miss Fairweather, who served in the Wrens for 20 months, said: “1 met him on a teleprinter circuit while I was working at the Navy Office, Wellington.” Mr Ellison later visited Wellington to meet the girl iwith whom he had struck up a teleprinter friendship. After their marriage they will live in San Diego, California.
