DASHBOARD TELEVISION

Driver Fined £2O (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, July 19. A motorist was fined £2O at Bognor Regis Court, Sussex, for using a television set mounted on his car’s dashboard.

Two police officers stopped the man when they saw the set switched on in his car. In a letter to the Court, the driver admitted that he had used the set in a position that it might distract the driver. • He said he never viewed when driving and he used the set only when parked, or for entertainment with friends. It was out of his sight when driving.
