Three Killed When Bridge Collapses

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 20. A farmer, Ills wife and younger brother were killed about 3.30 p.m. today at Otangaroa when a farm bridge collapsed under the tractor they were all riding on. They were: Noel George Johanson, aged 27, a farmer of Otangaroa. Airs Elva Gertrude Johanson, aged 24. Brian Michael Johanson, aged 18. The tractor overturned into a drain, pinning them underneath. The father of the brothers was the first on the scene, and he called relatives and neighbours to help lift the tractor.

Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation was applied; but none responded.
