Irregular Start To Week’s Trading
. Trading on New Zealand stock exchanges made an irregular start yesterday. New Zealand issues overall held a firm tone, with leaders in balance, while overseas stocks were easier.
Ex dividend gains were made by Dominion Breweries, up Id to 1 <s 6d. Carter Consolidated, up 5s 8d to 47s after firming steadily on home market quotation, and Rex Consolidated up Is Id. Skellerup held at £7 in Auckland sales.
Insurances lost ground with falls by New Zealand Insurance and South British. New Zealand Newspapers shed Is to 725.
