Bremner, 78 points, 1; R. Dougall, 76, 2; D. Owen and J. Strong, 74 (equal) 3. Under 19: R. T. Harris, 93 points, 1; J. Dougall, 91, 2; J. Bartlett, 87, 3. Quartets. Addington Workshops No. 1, 81 points, 1; Christchurch Fire Brigade, 79, 2; Addington Workshops No. 2, 77, 3. Open Variation Solo.—Cornet section: T. Bremner, 94 points, 1: E. Mason, 90, 2: I. Marriner, 88, 3. Other 1 instruments: D. Hoy and G. Rtach, 90 points (equal) 1, R. T. Harris, R. Dougall and C. Tregurtha, 89 points (equal) 3. The chief judge was Mr F. John (Oamaru), assisted by Messrs W. Gibb, N. Taylor, and F. Oakley (Christchurch).
